Job Title: MRI Technologist Job Specialty: Radiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Morning Shift starting at 07:00, with 8-hour shifts; may require staying for added studies Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred; 3 years in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred License: Current state licensure required Certifications: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred; BLS required Must-Have: Basic computer knowledge; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; excellent customer service skills Job Description: - Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex procedures, using advanced computerized MRI diagnostic imaging equipment. - Demonstrate competency in MRI exams, procedures, and the use of pressurized injection equipment. - Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures by using MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations. - Program computers post-procedure to ensure proper exam completion and accurate storage of scan data on PACS for future reference. - Coordinate and prioritize procedures throughout the workday to maintain high levels of patient care and continuity. - Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered into the billing system. - Demonstrate and maintain competence across all age-specific groups to guarantee proper completion of studies. - Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to address the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs of each patient served. - Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards set by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities. - Protect patient confidentiality by not soliciting or disclosing any confidential information unless necessary for job performance. - Demonstrate adherence to core values. - Perform other duties as assigned.
