  • The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.
  • Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans.
  • Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.
  • Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
    • Job Requirements
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
    • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
      • Schedule Information
      • Work Schedule: 4 Days - 10 Hours.
      • Work Type: Full Time.
        • Additional Details
        • Four ten hour shifts per week.
        • Work hours 0800 to 1830, Monday through Friday.
        • Call shifts are required; if it is a 12 week contract, then they are expected to pick up 12 call shifts.
        • Weekday call is from 5pm to 7am, and weekend call is from 0700 to 0700 Saturdays and Sundays.
        • Weekends and Holidays are call crew only.
        • The week day and weekend call are equally distributed between all staff.
        • Staff will not float out of OPS/PACU, but may be expected to help with phase 2 recovery of surgical or cath lab patients if needed.
        • Uniform is navy blue scrubs.
