Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; two years of Oncology nursing experience preferred License: Current State RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; Oncology Clinical Nurse Certification (ONC) or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) preferred Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care Job Description: - Provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. - Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. - Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs. - Observe and maintain records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress. - Care for patients with elective surgeries, fractures, and medical overflow. - Provide care for patients with new or existing cancer diagnoses and administer chemotherapy/hematology interventions when indicated. - Treat patients for symptoms related to recent chemotherapy and address secondary diagnoses related to cancer. - Enhance and invoke physical and emotional healing in line with the organization's mission.
