Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Care Unit at Christus Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs.
• Observe and maintain records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
• Participate in the planning and implementing of patient care, directing and assisting in carrying out safe aseptic technique and procedures.Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • One-year experience in nursing preferred.
  • Current Texas State RN License.
  • CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
  • EKG within 90 days of hire/transfer.
